TAINTED LOVERS is a post-punk band from Italy
who is inspired by legendary British bands and sound of the 80s.
THE BORN
This solo project, who see EMITREMMUS involved into, born in the early of 2016 when the musician starts to write down some lyrics due to harsh events that happened to him recently.
EMITREMMUS composed some tracks when he was in a particular moment of his life and was surprised how these songs was so direct in its simplicity; so he decided to put in music the other lyrics he had compose in those months.
The name TAINTED LOVERS, came during the rehersal next to the process of recording. EMITREMMUS explained to had chose this name for several reasons: TAINTED because of music contamination, LOVERS for the recurring thematics about love and everything that revolves 'round it.
TAINTED LOVERS are influenced by bands as SAD LOVERS AND GIANTS, ECHO AND THE BUNNYMAN, THE SOUND, JOY DIVISION, THE CURE, BAUHAUS and the SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEE just to named few.
